We're happy to announce NEW activities in the Perryville area. These exciting programs are offered at the Cifaldo Community Center, located at 418 Elm Street, Perryville, MD 21903.

 About the YMCA / Perryville
 
The Cifaldo Community Center is available for rent for all your special occasions - Birthday, Graduation, Anniversary Parties, Baby and/or Bridal Showers, Family Reunions, or any other type of function you might be having. Rental includes full use of facility - kitchen, bathroom, table & chairs.

Saturday & Sunday's / Fee: $25 per hour (Allows for up to 50 people).

A rental agreement, a $50.00 security deposit and the hourly rate payment (in full) is required to reserve your date. The security deposit will be refunded after a satisfactory inspection is completed of the facility.

Senior Fitness (NEW)
This class is designed for the senior. The instructor will lead the class in exercises promoting strength, flexibility, balance and sense of well being. Exercise with a chair as well as light weights and inspirational music from the 40's, 50's & 60's. Class is open to both Women and Men. Stable and Safe. Students should wear comfortable clothing and bring a bottle of water. Students should wear comfortable clothing.
Times:  8:30 - 9:30 am

Senior Tai Chi
This is the Chinese healing martial art system of exercise for physical, emotional, and mental well-being. It’s relaxing, with slow-motion movement patterns which increase longevity while improving balance, stamina, circulation, concentration and relaxation. Tai Chi relieves stress, lowers blood pressure and improves health. Students should wear comfortable clothing.

Body Sculpting
This is a fun and revitalizing workout that strengthens, stretches, and tones all the major muscles of the body. Combine this 1/2 hour class with your cardio and you have a powerful workout. (For ages 18 & older)
Times:  6:00 - 6:30 pm

Step Aerobics:
This step class is fun and challenging at the same time. Tracy is a highly motivating certified instructor and knows her stuff! It is a non-threatening intermediate step aerobics class that will include a workout for the "abs" and end with stretching. Add her Body Sculpting class to this and you will really be ready for the summer. (For ages 18 & older).

Pilates:
A series of exercises evolved from the principles of Joseph Pilates that promotes movement with increased range of motion and endurance. This one hour toning workout will teach breathing, core stabilization, flexibility, control, and balance. This class is ideal for the beginner through the advanced student.

Yoga:
Perfect for the student who is just beginning a yoga practice. The focus is on basic poses (asana) with an emphasis on proper breath control (pranayama), and correct physical alignment modifications. The personal attention and guided instruction provided, will allow the space for a student to establish positive practice "habits" with proper alignment from the beginning. Over the session classes will build on one another providing a challenge for all levels. Your flexibility, muscle strength and balance are increased with this transforming practice. Wear comfortable clothing and bring a small towel.

Zumba:
Zumba is a Latin inspired, dance-fitness class that incorporates Latin and international music and dance movements. This creates a dynamic, exciting and effective fitness system. Zumba means to "move fast and have fun". The routines feature aerobic/fitness interval training with a combination of fast and slow rhythms that tone and sculpt the body to achieve a unique blended balance of cardio and muscle-toning benefits. Zumba is designed for everyone. Participants of any fitness level or background can start right away. Zumba's basic step formula makes it easy for everyone of all ages. You could burn between 600 to 1000 calories per class!
